About me
Education
My name is Daniel I'm a Student at Calandlyceum. I'm a sophomore in high school and here I study VWO(highest variant of the secondary education system). At my school, I study a course called Technasium. The subject includes a “Research and Design” mentality where you learn to think creatively and work together. My Technasium course began in 2018 and I am currently still doing it.
Personal life
I live with my parents and my dog Bako in a small town near Amsterdam. I have one older brother who doesn't live at home. My nationality is half Brazilian and half-Dutch.
Sports
Outside of school, I like to do activities. For example, I play American football at the Amsterdam Crusaders association. I started playing the sport around October and I really enjoy it because it challenges me physically and mentally. I am also a part of the Calandtimes, which is a school paper.
Idols
There are a couple of people I admire, they are my idols.
The first person I really admire is Muhammad Ali because during his boxing career he always had a lot of perseverance and always wanted to be better than his opponent. This is why he is one of my idols, also his quotes motivate me to do more and better in life, sadly he passed away in 2016.
Sean Taylor was a former NFL player, He had a bright future in football but sadly he was shot in 2007, and shortly after he passed away. This tragic story is a reminder for me that life can go away in the blink of an eye.
The person I idolize the most is my grandmother. At the age of 24, she became a widow and had to raise 2 children without any sort of degree. She went to school, raised her children all by herself, and got a job. Her daughters all live in different countries, have wonderful lives, and graduated from college. My grandmother, on the other hand, lives all by herself in Brazil.
She hates being far away from her grandchildren and daughters. The most important thing to her is the well-being of her family. Therefore, my grandmother is my biggest inspiration.
